About Hakeem Collins
Native of Wilmington, Delaware (USA). A young inspiring fashion entrepreneur, creative designer, best selling author, life coach, motivational speaker and founder of CHRIŌUTURE a luxury couture brand of clothing and signature edition footwear. Hakeem started this brand in a pandemic with no money but just a dream and vision to bring beauty for ashes to all people. With no entrepreneurial experience or knowledge in the fashion sphere and industry. He understands about not having many options growing up and having to work at the age of 15 selling newspapers to buy his own clothes for school and church. He remembers those days growing up having to wear the same sneakers and shoes for church and school that had holes in the bottom of the soles. This is what fueled his passion to start his own clothing line and footwear to bless those who were less fortunate who wanted to walk in class and look beautiful. He decided to research and develop online of the concepts that were burning in his heart and mind to create a fashion couture that represents self expression, self empowerment and self awareness of one’s true identity and creativity. Growing up in poverty, fatherlessness, rejection, living in a culture driven by violence, drugs and prostitution. Hakeem didn’t allow his past and present situation to shake his faith to become all that he dreamed about. He wanted to be a blessing to his mother, family and those who were like him growing up. He also had a passion for fashion, arts and business. Not having great role models in his life to look up to and always hearing words like "can't," "no," "it's impossible," and "you not smart enough." However, Hakeem didn't allow those words to shape his thoughts and damper his passion and purpose. He did the very opposite by beating all the odds that were stacked up against him to persevere and triumph to start this signature shoe line to ultimately one day empower each wearer to walk by faith and not just by fashion. To walk in excellence, elegance and experience. Hakeem believes that a man and woman’s shoes represent their personality, mentality and originality that makes them who they are which is their royal God given authenticity.
